Today I’m giving away this brown wool beret.  It’s being modelled by my sister (who got the oversized sweater, which she is also wearing in the picture).  This beret goes with yesterday’s striped long sleeve T to make an excellent costume for my nephew.  He will go as a French artiste to some function or another, and then the hat will either go in their hat box, or into my sister’s clothing exchange.

Is it wrong to like a beret?  I used to.  I was after that look that Faye Dunaway had in Bonnie and Clyde.  Never quite pulled it off.  The beret made me look more like a librarian than a gun moll on the run with Warren Beatty.  Quel dommage.
